Έχει ακουστεί από πάρα μα πάρα πολλούς πως το Toy Story 2 ήταν πιο ωραία ταινία από το 1, καθώς η ταινία αποκτά νέους χώρους, νέους ήρωες, ακόμη πιο νέα τεχνολογία cgi, που κάνει σαφώς τη νέα αυτή παραγωγή εντυπωσιακότερη, και το περιεχόμενό της γίνεται πιο "ενήλικο (με τηνκαλή έννοια). Όντως, το Toy Story 2 παρουσιάζει πολλά περισσότερα προτερήματα σε σχέση με την 1η ταινία, χωρίς βέβαια να μειώνει την τεράστια σημασία της στον χώρο του Animation (αν δεν ήταν η πρώτη ταινία, δε θα ήταν και η δεύτερη, μπορεί να μην ήταν και καμία ), και μας παρουσιάζει μιαολοκαίνουργια ενδιαφέρουσα ιστορία, με γέλιο, δράση, περιπέτεια και πολλή φιλία! Ο Γούντι, όντας παλιό παιχνίδι, έχει αποκτήσει συλλεκτική αξία. Όταν τον βρίσκει ένας έμπορος παιχνιδιών, αποφασίζει να τον κλέψει και να τον πουλήσει μαζί με κάποια άλλα παιχνίδια σε έναιαπωνικό μουσείο. Εκεί θα γνωρίσει και άλλα παιχνίδια, όπως την καουμπόισσα Τζέσι και τον Χρυσοθύρα. Όμως ο Μπαζ και τα άλλα παιχνίδια αναλαμβάνουν δράση για να σώσουν τον Γούντι.
